Our 200 hour is an approved Yoga Alliance Program. This is important because this is the standard studios use for keeping their curriculum and materials to date and up to standard.

There are so many programs available, it is important to have a standard criteria that studios can measure up against.

Island Power Yoga only hires YA approved teachers. This is a big investment and you want the best programs to support this.

This training is led by Chieko + Katie, both who have their 500 E-RYT certifications and approval. These are required by Yoga Alliance standards to lead trainings. Both instructors have well over 2000 teaching hours and have both led multiple 200 hour, Yoga Sculpt, Yin and Extension training.

They are passionate about sharing their understanding and knowledge of yoga with students.

The training will also be facilitated by Coach Jamie who will be leading parts of lecture and practicum. Jamie is a head coach for IPY and leads multiple trainings a year, she is 200 hour trained and certifications in all our formats.

Coach Dani is our assistant coach and has certifications in both Yoga Sculpt and Vinyasa.

This training consist of 9 weeks of lecture, practicum, theory, and contact/in-person hours.

You are required to complete:

You will have a final exam

You will have required reading + discussion

You will have 50 required journalling and class attendance

You will have LIVE Community Classes to teach

You must apply for the program and be an active member for 4 weeks prior to Training starting. We do this to ensure that participants fully understand the style they are going to learn.
